Have a coupon from a mail pack or postcard direct mail, advertising $14.95 per room! What a great price, huh? How can cleaning companies afford to charge such a small price? As a reputable business owner who has been serving this area, I can tell you with all faith, IT IMPOSSIBLE. The fuel alone, to get to your home would make this a losing structure for the 'company'. Then there are cleaning products, cost to setup and pack your equipment, and the genuine job labor. A firm charging $14.95 or $9.95 a room would soon go bankrupt.
How? And why are they charging this amount? The answer is simple;Bait & Switch! Here is a classic situation: Once inside your household or business, you are informed that the advertised price is for 'basic carpet or upholstery clean package' in a simple way, clear water. You cannot correctly clean even a lightly soiled carpet or upholstery without correct cleaning products, such as pre-spotter, emzymes(restaturant cleaning) & various spotters.
Funny how they tell you they have better products to use stocked in there carpet cleaning van, let us recalculate the price for your condition of carpet to clean it right not good, your $14.95 a room free quote just raised to $75. Well this is one thing I see all the time and not only seen but have worked for and seems also that those companies you're doing huge amount of work load a day for doing the best steam cleaning ever! Guess what sell a job its $700 dollars well you cannot give the customer there money's worth because you have 9 jobs left and seriously if carpets or upholstery is cleaned correctly it can take up to a full day for 1 home or business.
High pressure add on sales carpet protector , pet treatments and charges for moving the furniture. Not to mention the lousy job performed by the inexperienced technician you've been sent! In the past over and over I have seen many certified techs who didn't have a clue what they were doing! Most of these companies hire right away pay on a commission basis promising the people they are going to make big money if they upsell all day! I do most of all my work and take serious pride in it and my heart is put into every job wanting you to brag to your friends and family and even neighbors what a great job you got for a fair price for quality a professional cleaning and even his partner was a skilled technician. Even over the years me and my partner have been complimented over and over how we work together and out level of cleaning professionalism is something they haven't seen before and the results were even better.
I will say not all companies are the same and I am not the only honest one out there,but truly they are far and between and when you have over 20 years' experience doing this every day you find the wrongs and rights of the cleaning industry unfortunately, sometimes the only thing you can do is warn people you care about and who work hard for the money.
